I recently got a Liebster from Handbags and Snotrags but I’ve already done one, so I thought I’d answer their questions instead, everyone loves a Q&A afterall!!
Favourite day out?
THE ZOO!! When I met my R we lived in Sheffield and weren’t close to a zoo, but clearly my love of animals shone through because when he moved back home to St Albans on my first trip down South he took me to ZSL Whipsnade. I loved it!! I made him promise that if I moved down South we would go all the time. It didn’t quite work out that way because we had no money, but last year we got an annual pass, for Oliver’s benefit of course. Ahem. I love going there, I love seeing animals and I love learning about them and about the conservation work the zoo does.
What is your biggest fear?
Being a terrible mother and Oliver hating me… I feared being a terrible mother long before I became one, I was terrified of becoming a mother and I still fear that one day Oliver will grow up and everything I have done will be the wrong thing and he will hate me. It’s stupid really, but yeh…
What’s the most unusual thing you’ve ever done?
When I was in Thailand we somehow ended up going to this elephant show and they made me lie down underneath an elephant for an ‘elephant massage’, that was pretty unusual! Although most things we experienced in Thailand were fairly unusual.
What is your favourite song?
Bridge over troubled water – just reminds me of a hard time and that I got over it, that I can do it, and that I’m stronger than I give myself credit for. *goes off on to you tube to listen to it* – The Simon and Garfunkel version is the one that stirs emotions in me most.
What is your favourite movie?
I really liked the boy in the striped pyjamas, seeing the world, a horrible world, through a child’s eyes. Obviously the book was way better, but the film reminds me of seeing the huge premier in Dublin when I lived there and bawling my eyes out with my friend in the cinema in the middle of the day and needing to leave in broad daylight.
What’s your favourite holiday?
I had an amazing time in Thailand! But this year we are going to Spain to see my Dad for the first time in a year as he moved out there last September. I literally cannot wait. I’m so excited for Oliver to see his Grandad in real life rather than on a skype screen and for him to give a huge cuddle!
If you could pick a celebrity husband/wife who would it be?
As I’m listening to the McBusted album right now and I have an obsession with the Fletchers I suppose I’ll have to pick Tom Fletcher!! haha, I love the immaturity of the music they make, I love how much fun they seem to have and lets face it, he made a cute baby (although I’m sure that’s helped by the fact Gi is stunningly beautiful)!
Although right now, I’d be pretty happy if R wanted to be my husband….one day…*weeps in to pillow*
Where is your best place to go on a date?
Date? What’s that? ha!! Probably the zoo, did I mention I love the zoo? Or, weirdly, a rugby match. If he took me to an England international I’d be pretty made up!!
Weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
I don’t think I’ve ever eaten anything mega weird, just the usual half weird stuff like ostrich & kangaroo.
What is one thing you will never do again?
I honestly can’t think of anything that I will never do again.
Do your prefer a night in or night out?
I love a night out, but that’s probably because I never have one! I like getting dressed up, having a couple of drinks (with some glasses of water in between otherwise I throw up!), and having a bit of a dance. Sometimes no talking and just dancing like a loon is what is needed.
