Getting back in control of Weightloss

22nd April 2015 4 Comments Written by Natalie Streets

This week was much more positive in terms of weightloss for me.  I wasn’t confident to be honest, I’d been pretty slack on logging food and I’d felt rubbish from having an awful cold and losing my voice (again).  Not to mention that when I feel rubbish I eat rubbish!  Crisps definitely passed my lips last week!!  I wasn’t at all active, I barely got out of my pyjamas for about 3 days, when I say barely I mean I didn’t get out of my pyjamas.  At all.  Or even brush my hair, or shower or any normal stuff like that.  I must have smelled like a delightful mixture of body odour and vicks vaporub – lucky R!!

So when I stepped on the scales this morning I was expecting that I might lose a tiny bit of weight or stay the same, but I was pleasantly surprised.  I lost 2.2lb!!  My body must have gone a bit crazy with all of the food and held on to it when I was away, but it seems to be back on track now.  I’m edging closer and closer to my goal and noticing that some of my old t-shirts fit me now – not that all of them are as appropriate for a 28-year-old-mother-of-one as they were a 21-year-old-single-student.

I am starting to wish I had measured my body before embarking on weightloss because I’m really curious as to where I have lost fat.  Having tried on several dresses and discovered that they are now much too big on the bust I would like to know if it’s because of losing weight or because of the whole ‘breastfeeding for 23 months’ thing.

Luckily we don’t have any more big events coming up until my target of being 10 stone by our friend’s wedding and R is working a lot which means I eat less – he’s a feeder – which means with proper meal planning and being aware of what I’m stuffing in my mouth (and logging it on my fitness pal) I should hopefully carry on losing weight.

Vital Statistics

Weight now: 10 st 1.4lb
Weight last week: 10st 3.6lb
Weight lost: 2.2lb
Target Weight: 10 stone
Weightloss to go: 1.4lb
Target date: 9th May
So technically, if I lose 1lb per week I will be under my target weight by the time of the wedding as it’s only 2.5 weeks away.
If you would like to follow my progress follow me on my fitness pal here. My diary is open to view so you can see exactly what I’m eating.  I log everything I eat, good or bad.
I’m linking up with Sims Life for #WeightLossWednesday once again

You go girl! You are so close to your target, that is crazy! Hope you are feeling much better now, being ill can really set you off track but you have certainly kept to it. It is so hard to have an enabler around you as you cannot help say yes to that very naughty treat! I too wish I had taken measurements when I started, am sure I am building up muscle which my scales will not take into consideration 🙁
Not long to go now, but you can do this chick! Thank you for linking up with #WeightLossWednesday and hope to see you again next week! Sim xx

Thanks – I know, I'm trying to be extra good so as not to ruin it. R just sat and ate crisps and fudge next to me and I had an echinacea and raspberry tea – I knew if I had a normal tea I'd want the fudge so I made a wise choice!

We have fat/muscle calculating scales. I'm not entirely sure how they work but it's quite interesting to see the numbers change. When I reach my target I think I will start to look at exercise a bit more seriously to change my shape for the better.
