In Part One of this blog I talked about the different stages of buying a house and when to explain it to your toddler, in the second part I’ll give a run down of how the actual move went and what I would change, what I would definitely do again and how it effected Oliver.
Our move was done in two parts, 8 days apart because we decided to tackle everything ourselves. R borrowed a van from one of the companies he works for and just had to fill it with diesel so with the help of my mother and father in law and one of R’s friends we tackled the move head on between us. R was working a lot so I had to do the majority of the packing (and now the unpacking), I took down shelves, cleaned and still had to keep Oliver fed, napped and entertained. It was quite hard, but I was pretty impressed at how well I coped with it.
